This one also had a body color rally wheel for the spare in the trunk. It had torque thrust style wheels on it when we got it.

This picture shows the car right after we put rallys back on it. When we sold the car I think we put the mags back on it though. I came across the second picture when I was looking for a picture of the Z, I thought I'd toss it on. Sorry about the poor quality. I don't have a scanner so I to take a picture of a picture.

I recently sold a 1968 RS-Z/28 which left the factory Rally Green, But was wearing
Hugger Orange Paint in the late 70's and Early 1980's. It had 'Itchie Brothers Racing'
lettered on the rear spoiler and was raced in the Madison Wisconsin region during that time.
The Z/28 was repainted a Burgundy Red with silver ghost flames in the mid 1980's and is now a bright Red with white Z- stripes.
No pictures or docs, other than title search and info. from previous owners.
Do any midwest Drag or Roadracers remember this Z/28?

Jason,
That must have been 8L339845. Everything fits the description I have of it.
Thanks!

Kurt

Thanks on the work order code (doesn't decode) and the W code.
I'm somewhat surprised that there isn't a - somewhere after the 4K code. Most special paint cars have it.

The other 2 orange cars left with their original engines, I suspect this one did too.

If you ever do get a pic of the tag, I'd still be interested. Or if you find the trans or axle codes.

Jason,
Do you have any other info on that Z? I know of 2 cars that are similar.
One had a body colored rally wheel. Anyone seen that before?

Try someone in their accounting department and ask about their "dead files" potentially in offsite storage. Maybe you'll get lucky. I too have found that salesmen aren't often much help. Good luck.
