Yes that is a good one also,
I dont recall the one about the 442 being drug around that one has me wanting to check it out as well, Basically I Love them all , I must have worn out my HollyWood Knights vid where the 57 and the Cobra go at it, I love the sound of the 57 when he hits it hard through second, then you see the oil down when they hurt the motor. Cant leave out old Don Johnson and the yellow 57 they raced across country, Hey I wonder how much that car will bring at Auction, he must have farted in that one as well |

Did you know the yellow '57 in Hollywood Knights is actually Popular Hot Roddings Project X '57 that they've had since the 60's?

Whitetop, it was Robert Culp not Robert Stack in that movie. I remember seing it way back when, but never again. I'm partial to "Two Lane Blacktop"..."just not used to seein' the Chevy work against a two bit piece of junk."

Robert Stack did play in Outrage. Hot Rod the movie had Robert Culp in it. He played the bad guy Munns Root Beer. "You don't run unless you run the Munns decal!!!" |

Someone just told me the movie with the red '68-'69 Olds 442 was a T.V. pilot for a series that never made it to series. The rig they pulled this car around in was painted red. They drag raced the car from strip to strip and circle track raced it at the end and demolished the car. Surely somebody remembers this movie.
"Corky's Cuda" has a great scene in the beginning with Robert "The Killer" Blake street racing a '69 Camaro SS. There is also a nice shot of a '70 Chevelle SS in Blake's boss garage. Does anybody remember the blue '75 Camaro from Walking Tall Part 2. Cragars, side pipes, tunnel rammed engine. Remember what Buford did to this car...slowly? |

Yes! Two Lane Blacktop is my all time favorite movie too. Richard Ruth built 2 similar 55 chevy's for that movie and the main drive car (the one they show all the motor shots of) had a tunnel rammed L88 427. During the filming of Two Lane that '55 actually clocked 10.90s at over 130mph.

What's really sad is a guy in PA owns the original American Graffiti '55, which also happens to be the same car from Two Lane Blacktop. He bought it off of Steve Fitch who owned this car and the Milner '32 at one time(he purchased both from universal studios). He is totally changing the car. Put in a rear seat(which neither movie had), different upholstery (maroon vinyl), got rid of the straight axle, roll bar was hacked out etc. If he was going to make all these mods why not just start out with another car?
