WOW!! This car and the JL8 car I just bought were built 5 cars apart at Van Nuys! L529641 & L529646. I wonder if the four digit Van Nuys trim tag codes are similar? Charley, do you know who the selling dealer was?

I think it was Nugent. Orig. owner ordered it and had to wait a couple Months because of the JL8. On the way Home from the Dealer the Gas Tank fell out onto the Ground.

Stanley, do you have any documentation with your car? According to Jerry MacNeish's book, the JL8 option was only available from March to July of 69. Your car looks to be way too early for a factory built JL8. What are the codes & dates on the rear you have?
Jeff

stanley, Where are you in No. GA? I'm in Roswell. You wouldn't be related to N.J. Wilbanks of Canton would you?

There is some inconsistency with the #'s. The LOS in the body # and low body # indicates it is an early Sept '68 built Van Nuys car, but the 526322 VIN reflects an early March '69 built car.

yeah, the VIN looks to be in the correct time frame for the JL8, but that trim tag is way off. I can't say that I've ever seen an LA car with tags swapped before. It's usually Norwood cars. Did you check above the gas tank for the broadcast sheet?
