It looks like I was wrong about the stripes and I was wrong about the tranny, it is a 4sp. The car has 16k miles on it, has been with the second owner since the mid 80's and as you can see is now under a frame off resto.

The door that you have pictured does not have the Malibu trim across the bottom of it ... (A very good sign)
