Now I'm following ya, xplant. The networking setup actually went pretty smooth on both machines, except for the internet part.
Your theory sounds possible, Denis...I know on the 98SE machine I had to put in the CD and install something, but I didn't see "what". It's gotta be a simply little hangup like that, as everything else is working, the laptop has an excellent signal, but no internet... |

Got it...for some reason my desktop CPU didn't have Internet Sharing installed, so I grabbed my cd uloaded it, and so far, so good...

![]() My whole house is networked with cat 5, including the TV. I have high speed internet, so I can upload and download really quickly. (If you haven't noticed, I've gone from a newbie to a journeyman in about 5 days..I think. I hope that you guys and gals aren't tired of me posting here) Come to "cool" Arizona sometime, and it's my treat for the beer(s) ![]()
