Called on this 69 SS/RS, and talked to the owner's brother. Not very knowledgable when it comes to musclecars, even though he helps run a classic/musclecar business. I asked him for the datecodes, casting numbers, etc on the drivetrain, and his reply was....what are those? Well, I ended the conversation right then and there.
And yes, there is blue on the engine, and probably a 70's era small block.

Now, Tony, you need to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, he states the car is "all original" so it must be the original motor. Someone just put a two barrel carb and manifold on it, and , oh yeah, went to the trouble of installing the vacuum operated heat riser valve just so it would not rattle. Just threw on some chevy blue paint to confuse everyone.

Now, where is that "CAUTION - FAN" sticker? Not there, huh? But I bet it has some Dill 627 valve stem caps!!!!!!!!!

I should have asked him if he knew what a power washer and an air compressor was.

"The shifter is a slapstick shifter and the transmission allows the car to be slapped into any gear when hitting it."

I think someone slapped it too hard.
