As Ken said, the Nova Nats was a blast. On "the hill" as they called it, looked like a mini supercar reunion. Mix in a ton of other outstanding Novas, some of the nicest folks you will ever meet, super weather, WOW. Schonye, his wife Becky, Jeff G. and the other locals really made us feel at home. Everyone involved with the NNN and the host Nova club are to be commended. It was really neat to spend quality time with other sYc members, talking about our cars, our families, the past and the future.

The ones in charge had Helen Gibb set up right in front of the main doors of the hotel, which was really neat. Helen and Ray Morrison were the stars of the show with their Gibb Novas.

Marlin's presentation, in the middle of a bunch of supercars, was well attended and received. In addition to Marlin, Helen and Nancy Gibb both spoke, as well as Ray M. Was nice (and sad) to hear Helen speak about her late husband Fred, and Nancy remember one of our own, Dennis Hartweg.

Congrats to several members here who got awards. I am sure I have left someone out, but here are some I remember. Kwhizz, Schonye, Hasset (1st in restored/original), myself (runner up to Mark's Deuce).

To top things off, got to meet another original Deuce owner, Moses. Several of us had dinner with him Saturday evening, sitting in awe as we listened to the stories about his car. As happened with most of these cars, known to be invovled in a street race or two.

Schoney has to have the Polaroid 110 film developed...it takes a while because it needs to be sent to Bulgaria where they still have the technology

Had a fantastic time. Ken(kwhizz), Thank you for taking the time with me to explain every one of my seemingly endless questions about the cars. You are truely an assett to the site. Saw plenty of super fine rides and the hotel was very nice also. The raffle was nice and I won a gift certificate from Chevy2only. I was parked in spot 31 for the second gens which meant the closest to the pool for those of you who have photographic memories. I also was in the photo for stevesnovasite. We had an excellent showing and I will remember it forever. On the ride home I used a GPS for a speedometer as mine in the car is not working. Avg. speed was really faster than I should have done and got 12.6 mpg.

Like the others said, the show was excellent. The hospitality of the Iowa folks was second to none - even crashed at various places as I was sort of wingin it on this one

Nothing like hanging out for a few days with 9 Yenko Deuce Novas, 1 Yenko SC Nova, & 2 Gibb/Harrell Novas - and 130+ other fine Novas! There were several very nice big block Novas in attendance, one with only 8k miles A sight for tired eyes after the 18 hour pull!

Forgot one major award: Kwizz won one of the Editor's Choice Trophy's right?

I think so, was there another L89 car there - I'm pretty sure it was yours. You got a big round of applause The award was chosen and given by Wayne Bushey, quite an accomplishment there Ken
