Hmmmm........ 70's paint/graphics, a result of 'intentional chemical ingestion'?

[/ QUOTE ]
Back in the early 70's I did a 73 Challenger hood in multi colors with a little lace, and op art lines. Even threw some cobwebs on it. The owner, who always wore a Billy Jack hat, came in pretty smoked. He just sat and stared at it. Said he wasn't even gonna put it on the car. Was gonna take it home and hang it on the wall. After a couple of bags of oreos, and garlic dip, he decided it needed to go back on the car.
I agree with Sam. Think it's time for some 60's graphics.

Here is one for you. A 69 RSZ that had been sitting in a shed since the mid-late 70's.

Okay Gentlemen.....Some of you have seen this....most probably haven't. This is when I bought the car in '84. Now I'm thinking I should kept it this way (?) Red panel paint out-lined with 2" white, all on Daytona Yellow. Whatttya think?...should I have left it alone?

[/ QUOTE ] That camaro I saw before. That is a great example of how it was. I liked the car then and I like it now. I would be contacting GTO DON for some ideas on day-2 trim and paint schemes. He has done this for years!

Can you picture Frank and Calebs car with black or even green lace like Darrens old paint was! Groovy baby. That would be bad a$$. That would be a boss paint scheme. How do you like those sayings Schonye? Bring back some memories. Ya Marlin, Were still smokin the stuff!

Chuck
Personally I would not put lace on your car. Lace as a painting technique was not really used after 1970. Lace was really big 67-69. Again it's your car and to each his own.
Depending on how accurate you want to get I would use endless lines and freak drops- super typical painting technique circa 70-74. Using endless lines within the white stripes on your car was used very often. I'll post some pics later.

Of course I'm anal of time periods and what is Day 2 correct.
