I too saw it at Corvettes @ Carlisle this year. Wonderful car. I didn't get to hear the open baffles, but I can imagine how sweet it sounded

My favorite was the body-off... I only got one picture because of all the people around it...

If anybody wants a zoom in of any part of this picture, just ask... the original is pretty high res.

Great picture and I would agree...the car probably looks much better in person than in the pictures I've seen.

Still not sold on Velocity Yellow though...

I will agree that the C6 Corvette isn't for everbody. Personally, I like it.

I remember when the C5 came out... I didn't like it at all... thought it looked like a Fat Bottomed Girl... but then I grew to like it a lot, until we finally bought an '01 in '00. We'll probably end up getting a C6 as well, but this time around it will be used... don't think I'll ever buy another brand-new car, the hit just isn't worth it to me.

When you see the base C6 beside the Z06, it becomes obvious that the Z06 is how the car "should" look. It's a shame that they didn't offer the Z06 body with the base car as I think it would have greatly improved the reception the car received. I just can't get used to the wide wheel lip openings on the base C6 body...the flared fenders and small wheel lips are much more appealing.

I agree with your comments on the C5 also - I hated the car when it first came out. However, I fel in love with the lines of the C5 Z06 just as soon as I saw it

I'm told that mine is completed and awaiting transportation at the Bowling Green plant.

A supplier related parts issue required the first couple hundred Z06s to be shipped off site to have the replacement parts installed. This has REALLY screwed up shipping from what I am told. Still, the supplier issue has long since been resolved and the cars are starting to be shipped now... Shouldn't be too long.

From everything that I have heard, it should be one heck of a car!

Regards,

Stan Falenski

A transporter huh?..Hey I know this guy Jimmy and he really loves jacking trucks and he's really good at it, so good that the drivers just hand over the keys, "You might think you know who we are but WE KNOW who you are, understand...Here's a couple hundred bucks, now go take a walk"
