Liberman's accident happened on rt 3 West chester pike. hit a red arrow bus( septa / public tran bus co)
a good friend of my family, Jack Rusin(Jack the ripper car) (who was killed in a motorcycle accident 2 years ago) ![]() was good friends with Jim Liberman & Pam(he drove the match car a few times) donated a fire suit to garlis. if you're ever at the garlits museum in ocala Fl. you'll see one of his cars, a fire suite, the news aticle about the accident and part of the key that was broken off in the vette's ignition. more pics at Jungle Pam's Site |

I remember it like yesterday. I believe the accident occurred at the over pass on rt3, as you enter Westchester eastbound.

I understand he had a drinking problem and was drunk when he had the accident

Because of this thread, I had a conversation today with a long time friend, Jim's brother. I sent him this thread which he has been reading and totally denied that Jim may have intentionally crossed any line heading into oncoming traffic. He confirmed Jim was driving his Corvette on Rt.3 when he crested a hill and the cars front end went airborne loosing control. If he was a few seconds earlier or later he wouldn't have hit the SEPTA bus and probably would just would have ended up in the field.
Maybe I can convince him to register so he can comment further. |
