Default Re: line-lock nightmare

What procedure are you using? Are you depressing the brake pedal fully and holding it down *then* hitting the line lock button? If you can hear the solenoid hitting then it's getting juice and should work, given it has enough pressure to hold the brakes...scooting your tires is one thing, but if the tires are rolling something else is awry...did you buy it used?

[/ QUOTE ]yep i'm fully depressing the brake pedal then holding the line-lock button then releasing my foot off the pedal.any rpm over 1500 it just won't hold it at all .i got the line-lock from jegs about a year ago and just this last month is when i installed it . it's jegs version of the hurst line-lock . one thing though i forgot to mention is i'm running braided teflon coated brake line with an fitting from earls .the lines were made up from a local hi-performance shop that sells fittings and line.the way i plumbed it was removing both front brake lines from the proportioning valve. i then plugged off one port of the proportioning valve then ran a braided brake line to the inlet port of the line-lock.next i ran another braided brake line from the line-lock to a T-fitting and connecting both stock lines also to that fitting . someone told me if i had a bad hose on the front brakes like the line going from the caliper to the hard line this would cause my problems . i can tell you though my front brakes work fine beacause if i had to stop quickly i can feel the front of the camaro dropping down .

Before you go crazy try this:
Press the brakes & then press the line-loc button,
pump the pedal twice more without letting go of the button.

(the solenoid should be a one-way valve which will let you
push more brake pressure into the lines without it returning)

Then .... STAB IT!!!
