Verne...I found this interesting tidbit of info on the internet...though it doesn't talk about which car he drove in '62...it's still cool!

What kind of car was Ken running at that event?? It would be GREAT to see a picture!!!

I gave Ken a copy of this flier at VF. I think Tommy K and Joe Swezey were standing there at the time. He recalled every name and described each car on the list. Seems like he said he was running his C/G '55 Chevy at the time.

Even the people who know Mr. Barnhart well may not realize how deep this guy goes........

I know most of the names on the list........Interesting fact about Colson and Wood.....as I remember, they developed the Reverser for Dragsters a couple of years later........."Quote"

After thinking about it some more......I think it was Powers and Riley that had the first Reverser.........Anyone have any more info....

I had no idea Ken went back that far. And I blew the opportunity to meet and talk to him at SCR9.

I know, I'll make it Bruce's fault He was supposed to take me around to meet folks

Verne

I wonder if the album Ken had there was just about the ZL-1 or if it went back through all his race cars???? Boy, I missed it!!!

You're kidding, right? Barnhart was racing before we had gasoline!

Verne, that guy still has the '39 Cadillac he raced BEFORE either of his '55 Chevys!

I say this with all the respect in the world.
Mr. Ken Barnhart is a very special guy, and a priceless friend. ( But why mention this; he doesn't do computers. )
