I just did a set for a friend's '58 Fulie in this Ground Up Restoration paint... they came out pretty nice for spray can...

Jerry did the manifolds on my '66 Corvette and they're just perfect.

I have thousands of pictures of the Corvette while in restoration. Its what got me back into the hobby.

Here is another shot of the manifolds...

Daniel,

Are these the manifolds that Jerry did? I can't see him
doing overspray like that. Actually, I'm not sure he even
buys into the whole overspray thing anyway. I've debated
this with him before. No way the exhaust manifolds came
from Tonawanda without orange overspray. The engines were
painted with the exhaust manifolds installed. Personally,
I think this one is relatively close to what was actually
done on a production basis.

BTW, I have an original L-88 exhaust manifold that looks
very similar to the one on this image ( overspray-wise ).

Steve

Steve, the overspray was added by the restoration shop. Its tough to get the paint to bond to the manifolds once hot, but the reskining adds additional protection. Jerry did the manifolds before they were painted.

here are a couple shots of the Fulie exhaust manifolds...
again the coating is from Ground Up Resto for $8 bucks a pop
they need a second coat, but its not terrible for spray can
