But now it makes sense why someone cloning a ls-6 wanted my spare ls-5 rearend so bad. I donot sell and kept telling him it would not be the right code. LOL Oh boy. All the 454 Chevelles in 70 used a special rear end (heavy duty ring and pinion), a unique pinion flange and driveshaft. That is why it is so easy to clone an LS-6 if you had an LS-5 to start with. The engine and tach are really the only thing different between the two.
