Nice pics John. I had a great time despite some of my car trouble.

John,

Great job! Thanks for taking the time I think everyone wishes they could see (and hear) that stuff up close. Too bad about the Sunoco Camaro, that's a heartbreaker.

Thanks and yes...total bummer regarding the Sunoco Camaro.Word is out I have the detailed crash pictures but I have assured the powers that be that they will remain under lock and key until I hear otherwise. It's the only right thing to do.

Here's the pictures I took of your car Van...sorry for not stopping by,trying to get 3 guys in any one direction at a racetrack is almost impossible but I'm sure we'll hook up in Monterey.

Will post more later...

It's amazing that the yellow dart had it's quarter folded like a jelly sandwich - but the tailight lense didn't break!

Thanks for the great shots, I hate to see those damaged cars, though. Hope many of those cars will be at Laguna Seca in August. I'm going to see my old June Sprints winning '64 Corvette race there.

Thanks for the pics John, one year we'll make it out to see them in person. Doesn't look like they have any East Coast dates yet.

Johnny,

FREAKIN' Ouch ! Those are some awefully sweet machines. Nice photos and congrats on the cover story!

BTW, Mark Mountanos's "other" Chevelle had a sponsor from a restaurant in Rocky Mount, VA. Any chance you noticed or have any more pix to see if the car came from Wickline Chevrolet in Rocky Mount? My '69 Chevelle was delivered there. Thanks!

Thanks for posting those pics. Wish I was there. Nice to see a Jim Hall car there too. My L89 was purchased new by him for his wife. He's a pretty interesting guy who has done a lot over the years.

I wonder if Ron Fournier will do the body work again on the Sunoco Camaro?
