Not good! I was hoping that the concrete container was sealed somehow but obviously it was not. 50 years of moisture on that car will NOT make for a pretty sight. The moisture stains on the walls and the water in the bottom of the container do not paint a pretty picture.

Where is Geraldo Rivera?

[/ QUOTE ]

There IS actually a car there so it would have been unique situation for Geraldo. He is more used to opening up containers and finding them empty or full of junk and not actually having something worthwhile inside.

Well Andy, doesn't look like there were too many tickets sold to watch this sad event.
I don't even want to see what's left under that tarp. They may as well have sunk it in the nearest lake. Doubtful that there is even a parts car left of that poor car.

From what I read on another site (Team Chevelle?) the water is a result of a huge downpour that occured after they opened part of the "vault". The got like 4 inches of rain in a few hours.

They sure didn't plan for rain....why wouldn't they have rented some type of protection to place over the area in case of rain?

maybe they figured that liberal coat of wax they applied before placing it in the giant baggie would protect it?

wonder if they read any books on long term car storage?

they shouldn't have let Arnie park the car in the hole.
