Hey, where's all the sponsor logos???? How come this guy's not a walking billboard for TV interviews???? Why isn't he swigging on Powerade for the photo????

Because those were the days when men were men and had grease under their fingernails. Today they get manicures in their luxury motor coaches and have a hat guy who hands them sponsor hats while the TV interview is underway. BAH! HUMBUG! I'll take 1961 any day.

I love those pictures, they bring back memories of when my dad would take me to races back in the 60's. Real modified street cars driven by real men. A whole world removed from the politically correct infomercial pitchmen that run the sport today.
