It is no secret the Chrysler Airflow was the inspiration for the design of Volswagon Beetle ! The earlier 34-35 looks more like a bug than this one, a 38 or 39?

Are the shaker and trim ring painted in grey primer? They sure dont look like they match anything on the car.
