Yeah, which is the phony or is it both? "Nice" alternator pulley on that '66 and where is the idler... not sure what that other thing is either just viewable by the passenger side head but.. oh well.

I heard that the 66 was originally a Small Block Car and converted over, that's was from a supposed close to the source person..........But??........I'm going to my Room now......

I figured with the sckuttlebutt on the BJ auction this kind of thing is going to happen more often. As they get more desperate to get popular cars for their auction the more questionable cars are going to make it through.

They can't research each and every car. If the guy selling the car lies about it and gets caught it is going to cost him. To me as a buyer I feel better knowing that if the car is mis-represented I have the option of not taking the car.

A friend of mine from Calgary, Alberta bought the triple black 66 427 Impala Convertible at Barrett last year for $124K. When I read your story I thought it must be his car that you were referring to so, I called him. As far as he knows it's still in his garage in Calgary. I think the story you shared from another website is just another BJ Rumor. ED ![]()
