They could have done better with a 70 Challenger vrs a 74 in the ad. Maybe a 70 RT/SE hemi, or 440, in hemi orange. If you're looking to tie into the performance past, 74 was past prime time. JMHO.

I think the comparison is the lines, not the performance.

But I don't know where the photo is from . . . from my press kit, there's nothing like that.

I am the only one who thinks this Challenger coming in at a whopping 425 HP with two pedals is a disappointment?

Probably because the photo is unflattering to the new car - it shows off how big and tall and thick it is compared to the original. I don't think it looks all that great. Not unpleasant, just not all that terrific.

I FEEL ALONG WITH I THINK MOST OF US THAT THE NEW CAMARO HAS GREAT DRIVE TRAIN BUT THEY COULD HAVE MADE THE CAR LOOK MORE LIKE THE 1969 MODEL. LOOK AT FORDS SALES NUMBERS OF THE STANGE AND NOW DODGE HAS TAKEN NOTE. I BET THE CHALLENGER MORE THAN OUT SELLS THE NEW CAMARO. THE NEW VETTE IS KILLER BUT HOW ANY OF US CAN AFFORD A ZR 1 ?

Went to the NY Auto Show this morning. Here are some shots of the Challengers from the Dodge display.

Here is the Deepwater Blue 2009 SE with the 3.5 liter 6 cyl:

And the Tor Red, 5.7 liter Hemi, 2009 R/T with a manual tranny:

And the Silver 2008 Challenger SRT, 6.1 liter 425 horse hemi with auto trans:

And a random shot of a 2009 Snakeskin Green Viper SRT roadster:

Those Challengers need fatter rubber / wheels on the back.

I am reserving my opinion of the Camaro until I see one in person.

No Les, I was eagerly awaiting this cars arrival. When I went to order one and they told me first limited batch in autostick only. I passed before he could even tell me about the gouging 15k over sticker. I'll wait for the 6 sp, maybe even the 6 spd drop top.
