No, this is actually a Mopar. There will be pictures at MCACN and it should be in Hot Rod next month.

That Vixen on page 199 sure brought back some memories---In 1987 our dealership started selling Sterlings. The Sterling was a British car powered by an Acura drivetrain---in theory not a bad idea, in reality not so much. It lasted a few short model years. Only a few salespeople were "allowed" to sell the Sterlings and it was mandatory that we (the select few) be well educated on the product. It seemed that the buyers were as "unique" as the cars. I had a repeat buyer that absolutely loved HIS Sterling and bought one for his wife and his then 21 year old son. When the family came in for delivery of the son's car they arrived in a brand new Vixen. At the time, I didn't know what it was and frankly, had never even heard of them. I distinctly remember entering the Vixen through a side door and it felt as though I was "stepping down" due to a low floor design. That was the only one I had ever seen until the pics appeared here.

This one hurts me 1983 el camino SS..It was my daily drive from 97-2000..Sold it to a friend after i over heated it and killed the engine .(i had to many project at the time )
My buddy started to strip the paint and swap the engine ..None of that ever happened .He sells it to another friend who take it apart even more and just let it sit out side and rust .(Car covers are Cheap and would have help ) Still titled in my name i might have to go save it .... As it sites now ![]() Before ![]() ![]() ![]()
