Is that NCRS terminology for a block? Never heard that before.

The pad looks different than the one on the documented Canadian sold L71 I looked at Sunday - which the owner has had since the mid 80's and does have the original block... although due to 2 thrown rods, the block had significant reconstruction at a NASCAR engine shop during the 90's.
By the way per the Canadian paper this L71 was factory equipped with bolt ons, side pipes, and head rests - Goodwood over Green Roadster...
