The "Rolled-Tip" were used on early production Chevelles up to March-April of 69', from what I read. As supplies dried up at different assembly plants, they began using the new improved design like the 70 all had.
The design was changed because the "rolls" retained moisture and they'd rust. So depending on your 69's build date, rolled tips may NOT be correct and definitely not correct for 70. But if you like them why not buy them anyways. Just Saying. Hope this helps.
