Sam

I missed that Vette last night, did you notice if the wheels were bolt-ons or real knock offs?

An interesting question you pose. Seeing as how I did not test-drive the model in question , one would have to infer from the available evidence. Closer study of the frame can lend some hints. Few would deny that the frame is born-with. So therefore is the frame sufficient enough to warrant such an attribute without significant work in the area of suspension. In this case, I believe most would say "yes". There are other tell-tale signs which I will leave to some of the other (self-proclaimed) experts from previous "Pavillions" entries.

As Todd Rungren used to say.... Here we go!

With this being the 30th anniversary of the critically acclaimed "Smokey and the Bandit", I thot this was appropriate. I saw on Hemmings eWeekly a few weeks back that they are making "the run" from, I think, Texarkanna to Georgia with a bunch of T/A's. Can you imagine that sight? This beauty is a rather rare powertrain combo with only 12K miles. She looks fine in person...

Yes.............I remember it well however, the car pictured above wasn't the one used in the movie. The one pictured above was a 1976 model. The one in the movie was a 1977 model like the one I had. I drove my car to the movie at least a half dozen times and watched the silly thing and then would come out of the movie and have to clear people away from my car so I could leave the movie and do a little showing off.

The picture below is the only one I have of it. It was taken the day of my wedding to my now ex-wife. I should have known the marriage was doomed when she wouldn't change in the car and throw her wedding dress out through the open T-Tops like Sally Fields did in the movie.

JD - what a classic photo. It almost looks like an advertisement.

"... It was taken the day of my wedding to my now ex-wife. I should have known the marriage was doomed when she wouldn't change in the car and throw her wedding dress out through the open T-Tops like Sally Fields did in the movie. "

Nice to know your sense of humor is still in tact!

No advertisement. I looked and looked in the basement yesterday trying to find the wedding album. Nancy gave me crap about trying to find it. Told her that inside it was the ONLY picture of my T/A I had. Didn't care about seeing anything else in there including my ex.
