Our main reason for going to Tivoli was Villa d´Este with its 16th-century park, with water everywhere.

Anders,

Thanks so much for sharing these great pictures....they bring back so many fond memories. I was in Rome in 2002. IMO....Rome is truly one of the 8 wonders of the world. Sam, I highly recommend you visit Rome.

Dan.

My wife and I made it to Rome in 2001 and I was thought it was very cool, but we took a train ride to Florence and stayed a couple of days there. The food in Rome was so-so, but in Florence, I could have gained 50 lbs! I am trying to remember the name of the restaurant that we went to (it was recommended by some other people we met). They open their doors around 6-7 in the evening and a crowd is there waiting to get in. They asked at the door if we had a reservation and we said 'no'. We called the next day and they said that they do not take reservations!!! We showed up the next night and they asked if we had reservations and we said 'Yes'!!! We sat down at a table and were joined by about 6 others. We were served bottles of wine and had a wild game feed to die for!!! I would highly recommend taking that short trip north!!!
