-------Somewhere around 1982/83 I was on a buying trip to Louisville and got to ride in the 33 mile car from 12 miles up to 18. Other than the guy driving I think I may have been in it for more miles than any of the former owners.

[ QUOTE ]
Did it meet reserve??? At 300k, I would hope so. [/ QUOTE ] I've seen this car change hands a couple of times over the years and met one of the first owners last year by chance. I believe it will take considerably more than 300K to own it, I was fortunate enough to see it a couple of years ago in Kissimmee and it's quite the time capsule.

One of Dana's Chevelle's mentions its been diamond certified by Jeff Dotterer. What is diamond certification and how does that all work?

Chris White is one of the Diamond judges and is a memnber here. Best that he come on and explain it. It is based on a 5500 point system. No stone left uncovered. I have been through the process it is very thorough.

Check this one out at Raceway Park circa 1972. Big John's car was a regular finalist in Super Stock Eliminator back then.

Did anyone go to the auction this weekend? Just wondering if any of these Chevelles sold.
