Ain't it the truth! Just before you left Saturday I was talking with Helen and she said EXACTLY what we all say more and more: "These old cars are great and we all enjoy them, but the CAR PEOPLE are the BEST people on Earth!"

We had a great time Saturday, despite the little late-morning shower that flew through. It didn't last fifteen minutes then the rest of the day was perfect.

Here's some of the cars in attendance.

Annie's COPO Nova #15

and her '02 ZL-1 #44

Bob & Nancy Lionberger's 35th Anny Camaro (with some upgrades )

Someone's New 2010 Camaro....

and a few more who popped in for a while.

Here's the 9 sec SBC powered Pinto

Dave & Reid McCutcheon came up for the day.

Hey Reid.

Paul Fansler's '57 Bird

Sweet sounding '65 Chevelle. Didn't catch a name but it sounded strong.

Clyde Dunphy's (actually Cathy's) Mach 1

Darrell's Camaro made some passes at Gateway during SCR10.

Don & Judi brought the latest addition; a beautifully preserved '72 H/O. (My old black car in the background)

and a shot of the 'work' area.

Here's that new Camaro again.

Nancy Lionberger was busy with the camera too.

And Bob is looking FANTASTIC! Back to his old fighting weight of 1971, ............... so ........... why not dig out his REAL, ORIGINAL "Fred Gibb Chevrolet Pit Shirt" from 1971!!! Perfect Fit Bob.

Kim Fansler, Don & Judi Stowers and our Hostess enjoying good company.

And one more shot of that pesky 2010 Camaro.

YEP, Nancy & Helen are the proud new owners of a 2010 Camaro! They took delivery Tuesday and they're BOTH all smiles! CONGRATULATIONS LADIES. I can't think of ANYONE who is more deserving of one of these cars!

Fred, you taught these girls well.

(BTW, nice color choice )

So a big Thank You to Rick and Annie for hosting the gathering, for some great food and for the opportunity to spend a day with some Great Friends.

I finally have a chance to get on line and thank all those who showed up. The weather was very threatening and rained for a short time but regardless the diehards were there. Ann and I sincerely appreciated everyones participation especially to all the out of towners that drove the distance as this was kind of a grand opening for us in the new location. Bob and Nancy, Don and Judi as well as others stopped by almost weekly and can likely appreciate what went into getting the new shop off the ground. Special thanks to Dennis for ALL the items he has provided including all the signage. Without his help we would have been way behind. Thanks to Bob for BEING here and wearing that way cool shirt. You looked GREAT in it! As usual I only had time to take a few photos.

Here is the only one I took of our memorabilia room dedicated to Dennis Hartweg which included Fred Gibb, Dick Harrell, Ann and Dennis's wall and itmes from the Fred Gibb Memorial shows from year one. The library has not yet been completed and was 'hidden' away. Thanks to Jeff Murphy for his temporary usage of the timing trees. Ann and I spent MANY weeks on this room. I could never have had the entire shop and all the legistics that went with it to this stage had it not been for the help that Ann has given me the last 9 months while I was trying to make ends meet.

Lastly, thanks to Nancy for bringing Helen and that WAY COOL new Camaro. I had the highway open for you to do one of your burnouts as I had sent the Police Chief on vacation but you passed on the chance..........
