Mike, how's the car coming along? Was out at Rick's last weekend and noticed it was gone. This must mean you're getting close....

It came home Sunday afternoon. Ricky did a great job so all I have to do is put it back together with screwing something up.
It's been a tough week, I finally get the car home and had no time to work on it. Had to travel to San Antonio Texas for work on Monday, so it must wait until the weekend. Here are some progress pics, I just need more time and more money.

No I didn't give up, I just haven't had much time and I am very slow at this. I can say one thing for sure, never again. Doing a real restoration is an incredible amount of work, very expensive and at times frustrating. If you have a full time job, kids and a wife you like, you may want to think twice about doing it yourself.

Anyway, here is an update. Engine and brakes are pumbed, exhaust is in, headliner is done and the interior is going together. Finally got the chrome done, and finished off the trunk; trunk was painted one year after M22mike gave me some pointers on how to do it, glad I took notes. I pushed it into the drive today for the first time since October 2009 and just got some pictures done before the rain came.. I will not give up, just need to save some money for the dated glass.. maybe next year.

Mike - looking killer . Thanks for the update. I like the dealer tag too. Nice touch.

I have a '69 tag thanks to Mr. Burch from way back in Ohio! Thanks Grady ! This is perched on the front of my Black Chevelle.
