I went to visit with Joe's Dad today. He had just returned from Fort Drum where all of Joe's men had recently returned home safely from Afghanistan. His Dad said that was Joe's mission, to get his men home.

Mission Accomplished. God Bless.

Please watch this moving tribute.

The view out Joe's Dad's window......

A benefit cruise to honor Lt Joe Theinert was held this past Monday. Many of Joe's troops came down from Ft. Drum for the event. A nice scholarship fund has been established to help local students.

My heart goes out to this family. My son spent 15 months as a foot soldier in Baghdad in 03-04 (well 12 months as a foot soldier and then 3 more shooting down snipers and patrolling in a Howitzer). He is still serving in the Air National Guard. I can't imagine the pain.
