Walking the 2011 MCACN show I was surprised at how many people were asking about the tow tabs we made several years back. There were a lot of requests for the TB-49 Nova tabs and I've drug out the old tooling and will be setting up to make another run of these.
Everything we're doing is utilizing the same means and methods of how the originals were made. No water jet, CNC machine or anything fancy. All welds will be the same as the originals. Much more labor intensive than if they were done in a modern way, but I like keeping it authentic. It will be the only run we'll make this year and I won't promise that we'll do this again in years to come. Price is $175 per pair + shipping. I have used USPS $10 flat rate box in the past but can UPS from work too. Last time, there were a variety of people wanting them in different colors. It was the toughest part to manage. I'm offering them with powdercoating as a no cost adder. I am working on trying to get the right burnt orange color, but may have to default to silver or yellow. Color choice is not an option and all the ones which get powdercoated will be the same to-be-determined color. Please let me know if you want bare steel or powdercoat. I'll include some pics from the previous time. Note there are some 1969 Camaro TB-51 tabs in the pics. I'm not making any of those but would consider it if I can get commitments for 10 sets. Price would be the same. ![]() Silver ones are new, black ones are old originals which were on loan from Tommy- thanks agian man! ![]() ![]() ![]() More new ones. ![]() Here is a set on Tommy's car (I hope it's okay to use this pic) ![]() Best reached via email at pxtx at comcast dot net or PM me on this site.
