Also it shows the Aluminium inners in raw natural aluminium.

I'm aware that the aluminium cars were mostly changed over to steel early in the Sanctioning bodies Class designations when fairly new.
How many real complete aluminium cars and or Front ends are known to exist ?

2 Local Z11 cars were raced here in
Pittsburgh, PID mostly, Presque Isle , Erie, Thompson and Quaker City.
One supposedly Bought New by a Tedesco racing family member.(PITTSBURGH Raceway Park Owners)
I don't know the #, if anyone even knows ?

Supposedly the car has been found minus OEM Engine &amp; Aluminium.

Any clarification from one in the know ???

If anyone noticed, most of these cars out of Don's Collection are from Western/Central Pa. Or Mid Atlantic Regions.....this was intended, as his preferred choice for Cars he Associated With....

Just throwing this out for all knowing something, anything to comment. </div></div>

Yes, Strick's car was the first. Standard rear was a 4.11 but they got changed out often, many times right at the track since they were a drop out pumpkin 3rd member. Jenkins installed a 3-spd Hurst Syncho-Lok 3-spd shifter on the 4-spd for safer power shifting, with an added lever for reverse.
The aluminum inner fenders are left overs from a '62 aluminum car. They didn't come on the Z-11s.
Several aluminum parts were sold over the counter, so it's not known how many total front ends there were.
I don't have info on the Tedesco car. There a couple people who have collected most of the history of these cars, so one of them may know. I know that all 50 of them have been accounted for in some form or another.

I performed a thorough inspection of the Terry Prince car and the Frank Sanders car for their owner at the time (not Don) and they were subsequently re-restored to correct many mistakes.
The Frank Sanders car is one of the highest quality ones in existence because it was never cut up for other class racing and it retains it's original engine and aluminum.

Back in the late 1990's at Fall Carlisle, a very real pair of Z11 front fenders showed up on the top of the north field. They were really banged up. I believe the guy wanted 3K for the pair at the time. They were red and still had lettering on them.

Word I heard a couple of months back was that part of the collection got sold to someone in Ohio. These are what remains.
