Camaro Protecto plate question

I am feeling better about the car and my purchase and will be glad when it arrives later next week

I did notice on the build sheet it said custom order. could have someone special ordered it then canceled causing a new protecto plate?

This looks just like the P-O-P from my 70Z. It had the short block replaced shortly after delivery. It is still in the original owners name. I found remnants of the original P-O-P under the carpet when I started the restoration.

Paul, I can send you pics of my POP if you want. There is no 2 under the bow tie. I found remnants of the orig POP under the carpet. The CE short block is dated F of 70. Car was delivered in May. That didn't last long!

Your build sheet may be saying "customer order". I've seen that on some 70 Impala sheets.

Also, if the replacement POP does not have a 2 under the bowtie, then it's probably the original owner on the plate. As others have said, the original owner could have lost it or if there was something incorrectly stamped in it on the plant, like a typo in the vin, it would have been swapped for one of these.
