Congratulations Tim!! Nice find! That'll be a cool car. I like that your just doing the mechanics on the car and fixin' what needs fixin'. Leave the body like you said. You'll enjoy it more since it's not restored. There was a guitar player for a somewhat famous band that I worked with for a little while. He had an early Corvette (I think a '65) that he had everything gone through underneath and left the body and interior alone. It was cool.

Killer 64. I love the fact that it was at the beginning of when Chevy started stamping the vin# on the fuel units. I believe it was right around VIN# 14,000 that they started doing this. The early stamps were in the front of the plenium after that it was on the right rear like the 1965 fuellys. Great Stuff!!!

Got after the 64 again today starting to get things tore down some more (waiting for parts on another car).

The infamous wire pigtail in the port witness mark....

What looks to be the original water pump? If I remember correctly, there was a period in time they were not dated?

Glad I elected to just take it apart.....

Junk original radiator.....

I suspect this is a bit outdated. Ironically, for the car last registered in 77, this alarm is dated 1982
