The theory goes that 1lb. reduced of rotating mass is equivalent to 4+lbs of static weight (?). I have visions of installing a late model 1lE driveshaft to see what the gain is, and installing early '80's Malibu/Monte Carlo aluminum brake drums (2lbs. vs. 5+) on the rear. How about indexing spark plugs, spiral grooves in the exhaust manifolds, ??? M

Those drums can be found on that era "S" truck too. My grandmother's 85 G-body Cutlass had them as well. Not that I know any of those GM tricks ...... 'member, I'm just a Mopar guy ..... ![]() |
