Gasser, I am still trying to get over the fact that one minute your car was for sale and the next minute you posted it as no longer on the market, so all my cash chasing was in vain, then I read its back on the market and before I can blink...Poof it sold! Ahh the pity, the old day late routine, thats what happens as we all spin on the flywheel of life and the older you get... the faster you go... the closer to the edge... and less time to do or buy everything we want. Anyway, good eyes, the green thing in the background is a very odd Camaro indeed, maybe you can help shed some light, I discussed it in detail earlier here, go to page three on the Supercar-Musclecar discussion and read the post "unusual X-44 Camaro", I had photos posted but I mistakenly wiped them off my host service. I may sell the thing, it is a really solid nice low mile car. Merry Christmas and holidays to you, Motown

Charley - What's this "Dark Side" business. More power to you if you like more than Chevys. You can't say that other manufacturers didn't make neat muscle cars. Sweet Shelby! Congratulations.

Charley:

Are you going to try and pick up a new GT40 to add to your "dark side" collection? Anyone else got there eye on one?

Jeff

I was just talking to a Ford Marketing Rep. They have more dealers than cars and still haven't determined who will be getting the cars. Its to be based on CSI.

Still very likely that most dealers who do qualify will only get one car. It will be interesting to see what happens with the supply/Demand situation with this car?

Three prototypes do exisit but they will not be called GT40s as Ford does not own the rights to the name.

If im not mistaken Ford offered the folks that own the name rights to GT40 3 cars + a cool Million but they want way more than the Million offered.

Stefano, It is not official how Ford will distribute the GT40 cars to the dealers. My zone rep says it might be based on who won Fords dealer presidents awards, or on the Blue Oval Certification program. I know that they will for sure be sold for 100+k by the dealers (us included ). I heard that the person/company that owns the name GT 40 wanted some redicules amount like 40 mil for the name. Ford passed and will just stick with the name GT.
