This topic reminds me of something quite funny.

A few years ago, a guy bought some gov't surplus parts at
auction. When he took delivery, he realized that some of
the parts were for an SR-71 ( Blackbird ). He put them on
eBay and people started bidding. Well, somehow the gov't
found out about it and had the auction shut down. Next,
they went after the seller for selling classified material.

Well, the guy had a receipt from the auction, so the gov't
investigators couldn't do much in the way of prosecution.
He did loose the parts, but he was repaid. Seems the parts
weren't surplus afterall.

Hey Rob!

Did you know that Boeing was working on V/STOL capabilities
for the wide bodies? Can't wait to land like that!

Serious cross wind. Looks like Peru or something.

It is at an airfield in South America, can't find the name right now though. It is very out of the way and it's where Boeing does their Crosswind testing. They don't want many witnesses if something goes wrong. Would not look good if their new baby was in a ball and then all over the news. The test pilots were earning their keep during these landings, imagine the pucker factor was pretty high.

Others have requested information in the past regarding booking a flight in a warbird or other aircraft. Some can be done in the driver's seat or just as a passenger. Here is one site with many links to that possibilty including the Mig-15 and Foxbat I had mentioned before. Worth every penny!

Fly a Warbird!

Hmmmm

What to do? Keep putting away $$ for the kids
college educations, or take $15,000 out for a MIG-29
flight. What to do! What to do.....

I don't know? What if you don't have kids? Sure better than a $23,000 intake!
