Are you kidding? If it was my car and someone had my original born with short block and my car was worth 26000,000. I would think that its worth at least $ 100,000.
The car without its orig motor would be a hell of a lot less
in value.

Although I'm skeptical of the bid, there is certainly alot of interest with over 20k hits and 32 hours to go.

I also had the privalage of putting a little tiny scratch on the bumper when I was trying to park it in a tent. Ask Charlie L: He was standing next to the pole when I tapped it.

Rich, here's a story of willpower: At the 1986 Musclecar Nationals I had the car sitting on the open trailer and some doofus walks up and proceeds to pull back and peel down the front rubber bumper edge where it meets the fender, cracking the paint. I almost vapor locked screaming at the guy...and he was one of the workers for the event! He says: "I was only trying to see what was behind it." It took all of my self control to not try to see what was behind his frontal lobes with my tire iron. I think that was the last Musclecar Nationals I participated in. Too much stress.

[/ QUOTE ] There may be one or two people in the market that would look at this auction and be a serious buyer. The 20000 hits arent from potential buyers, they are from people on holiday vacation wondering why a car is 2.7M and checking back every ten minutes to see if it has a bid

I do NOT agree with you ....

Does the original matter in a ZL1 when everybody who knows these motors were blown up day two ???

Dont get me wrong !! Who doesnt want the original motor in their car. I would bet a good 25% ++ are restamped in the Hemi world and others. Copo's, 429's, hemi's etc..

Dont get me going on re-body's

If you call the guy "greedy" who wants 50K for the original motor to a car worth a million dollars ,what do you call the guy wanting a million dollars for the car without the original motor?

There are 5000 comedy writers on strike, evidently you crossed the pickett line. I do have to say the car listed is quite a gem,if a car was worth 3M it would certainly be a 71 hemi convert
