 If you thought that Chameleons change colors to camouflage themselves . . . that is a falsehood. They mostly use it to maintain a certain body temperature and as a way to communicate with other chameleons, not to hide from predators.

 What is it . . . other than what you think it might be (lol). It's a metal statue, located in San Jose CA, of the Aztec God Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent (who represents intelligence and self-reflection). I guess they didn't have enough money to do it properly:
