Carl....the depressions are actually molded into the insulation to create clearance for the air cleaner. I just bought a new one from Chuck Sharrin (CamarosRus) You could contact him and see if he has any left.

Points deduct for the oil being overfull

Could the two different ends on the plug wires be an engineering change between 4Q69 and 1Q70?

I see it on the original and on Chucks. May be a question without an answer but..............

Maybe the offcenter depression was for a 6 cyl Air Cleaner.....
