The only other time Dave had been down a dragstrip before was a couple years ago in a rental car following me. Now he is thinking about next year......

Hey Charley...thanks for inviting and arranging for Dave to come to the reunion. I know that I enjoyed him being there...and I think he had a blast.

Darren lost by a nose to me, but if either of us knew how to launch a car, it could have been really interesting.
Two guys making their first pass at a real dragstrip!
Darren was doing 103 at the finish, to my 96.
Hope that by next year we can learn how to shift.
Hats off to the Clarys. This was the most fun I've had in years.

We really need the first timers down the dragstrip to chime in on what kind of fun they had. You don't have to be fast. I'm hoping next year we can get even more first timers in their Supercars to participate in the drags. It really is a great place to learn and have fun.

Watching these cars go down the track is the thing that makes the Reunion the coolest show ever. Instead of sitting under covers these guys are out there thrashing on them like they were meant to be...nothing cooler in the world

That's a great idea Clill...I'd also like to hear ideas on how to make things go smoother at the track, for 1st timers and old hands alike...we're already throwing around ideas to make the bracket go better, but once it got rolling it worked out really well!

The bracket racing did nothing for me. I was out after my first pass. I personally think first timers would have more fun without the bracket racing.

I thought putting the top down was a nice farewell touch.
