I just checked a 70 L48 350 I have in the garage that was pulled from a 70 Monte Carlo, and the clip is there, so I suspect Scott is right. And this would only be for auto trans cars, correct?

I'm not sure about other makes, but I believe that Nova's did not get that clip bec/ the wire harness puts the sending unit on the other side of the engine.

I saw one on a Nova at the Fall Carlisle, a real bucket of rust but it had the clip....

I saw it too....the guy said we could have it, as long as we bought the car to go with it.

Anything is possible on the old beaters, I was referring to the original owner, untouched, survivor Novas - they don't seem to have the clip as there doesn't seem to be a reson for it.

Not original owner, but this was an untouched Yenko Nova, LT1, dated plug wires, tower clamps, etc.....and I think 4spd car. Faded Yenko paint job and original (trashed) interior, but rusted to the gill's. Looked like a critter had been living in it for a while. Can't remember the seller's story about where he got it, but I think it was one of those "found it in a field behind the barn" thing's. Take it for what's it's worth, 'cause I'm NO expert on the Nova's....
