We'll do our best to keep pics coming. It's a very cool piece. Obviously, going to take a while. We've been supplied with good used parts, or NOS body panels. Depending what we find after blasting in the floor, and trunk area, we'll most likely use AMD parts per the owner request.
While it may look bad in the pics, it actually isn't in the bad shape. We've see way worse.
It's setting on the trailer now, going to the blaster Monday if I get over this flu bug. (not pretty)

What are they using to strip the paint, yet preserve the crayon markings?

If you understand that those paint stick/ crayon marks were applied directly on bare steel B4 any primer, then sprayed over. The image is kind of locked in after stripping. However media blasting is not real forgiving if trying to save these for documentation.
On a car like this Z28, I would have chosen to use some stripper and or lacquer thinner to slowly do the fire wall. This way allot of the primer base is left in tact.
Here is the &quot;N10&quot; notice all the gray primer that bled through the caryon mark.
