There are 48 million private owned homes in the US.

What 3 trillion man Army is going to kick out all the people and push them into cities like cattle??

Every country in the world has programs with incentives for people to buy homes. World, wide private home ownership is at record levels even in China and private home ownership increases each year

Bill Gates does not even come close to owning the most farmland in America. He owns 270k acres. A guy out of texas owns 2.6 million acres. Total famland in almost 900 million acres.

Bill Ford, on electric cars: Not because we have the infrastructure, not because they are unaffordable to the majority, not because there is a demand for them, not because there are no plans to make 10-20k priced cars, but because the Chinese will dominate the market if we don't.

Ford is correct if someone is going to force you to buy something. You see we do not have the infrastructure as we are currently configured. The average home has 100 amp service.

THATS why they want you in a 15 minute city. Because you will ride share and use mass transit.

Therefore, the "they" who will "ban" gasoline powered vehicles are the automakers. "They" will fight for market share/dominance that could require, due to market forces, the slow elimination of gasoline-powered vehicles--UNLESS gasoline-powered vehicles generate sufficient profits to allow them to be continued in production.

Follow the money. Always.

Hard to disagree; money drives everything.

As fuel taxes plummet, states weigh charging by the mile instead of the tank

Tax per mile is obviously aimed at EV's. They'd actually double dip on hybrids/gas/diesel vehicles, getting tax per gallon and tax per mile.

No big deal.

Let’s treat the domestic infrastructure funding like the global financial system manages other funding issues.

Print it and hand it out.
