I am not thinking of going near this guy or his cars, I have already written him off. I am just posting the VIN info so everyone will be educated as to what exactly he is offering. Hopefully this will help keep someone else from getting ripped off.

If by chance they were one the list of known Yenkos, then if might require further investigation. I doubt it!

The 1967 Camaro and the 1969 Camaro listed above DO NOT appear on our list of Yenko built/sold cars. Tom

Is there anything that can be done to stop these people from selling bogus cars? I also have a Shelby and SAAC does an excellent job of tracking fake cars and letting people know when they find them. They are very vigorous in protecting the Shelby market. Maybe it is just that Ford and Shelby did a better job of documenting and making it easier to determine if the car is fake or not.

I would like to see this guy shut down.

A friend of mine traced back the 67 and found that it was bogus. As for the 69
vin# 681343 was the last Yenko Camaro on my list as well. Also keep an eye out for an alleged 68 baldwin camaro. It is also fake.I have traced its origin to a dealership that did the work to make it over. When will people like this give up.

Nov 68 tag on a Oct 69 car.
And the 67 was a 327 210 hp car originally!

The 67 was on Ebay exactly a year ago by seller '67yenkotokillfor'.

They will give up when people seek out the answers on this site.I noticed a lot of new names since the Super Chevy article listed the site address.

Belair:

So, someone DID notice! We have told them EVERY time someone did an article that they could leave out our names entirely, just give credit to the owners and the club itself, and PLEASE list the web address. It took 5 years, but we finally got it listed in the article!

As for keeping the number of illegitimate sales down, this site, and the users on it, are a godsend! I mean, no matter where a car is from, someone on here probably knows the history. The Shelby club is what are trying to model the sYc, to an extent. We owned a Shelby at one time, and finding info on it is as close as the nearest phone or Shelby Registry. VERY EASY. I think the Duesenburg guys have a similar system, but they have a file on EACH car in existence.

Anyway, just look at the difference you guys on this site have made in the recent car sales...if we could just get the word out to future buyers about this site, and that there IS somewhere they can turn for info, then all would be well.

Belair....I bet the guy makes money on both of those cars. He might end up with Court Judgements against him but I don't think that bothers him a bit.

Charley I'm sure he will but we know it won't be from someone who looks in on this site.Rob, how many more people signed up since the article ? I'll bet it was substantial.Between Ed Cuneens and this site and the people on it,it should make it a lot harder to pass off a fake.

This is directed at you mrsyc, or I should say Chuck Huber. You might not remember me, but I certainly remember you! Let me bring your memory up to speed.
About two years ago you were talking to a friend of mine Chris White, at Carlisle PA. He gave you my phone number, and you contacted me about a set of five used F70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT rwl tires, and also a complete Yenko Chevelle engine I had, for a project you were working on. Do you remember the phone call now? Anyway I will stop here, unless you want me to expand on my "original" theory. Warren
