Kasey,

Hey. if you really want one...I can arrange it!

Sam, I noticed those tires, too! Wow, 4:56 geared...and those skinny little tires

According to the owner, the car came from the factory with a 3 speed...because the 4 speed couldn't handle the power of the super stock 413

Jeff M. - it never ceases to amaze me, and I hope to never take it for granted, the incredible, seemingly endless assortment of nice, unusual cars that come out of the "woodwork" on a regular basis.

Cars of note last evening: That dual quad, 4spd '60 vette with white paint and turquoise interior was stunning- what a neat color combo. Looked even better in person - no offense Bruce!

The red 4spd 340 Duster ('71 or '72). This is a survivor car with low miles, docs, and original paint (beautiful condition). Car is for sale at $36K and is owned by Bill Wiemann - Let me know if any are interested.

The '64 Ply. Savoy (black) 426 Mx Wedge, 727 push button. Not a real one (started life as a 318). Paint on this car was 10 miles deep and stunning. With that red interior, it is simply killer. Car is also for sale - $75K.

The fella in the picture with me is Don (aka Mr. Olds). Knows a thing or two about the mid year Olds. Next week he will be debuting his latest accomplishment: '66 F85 (442 option), 4 speed in Autumn Bronze (a killer color that doesn't sound so great but is just beautiful). This is a knuckle-dragger car to be sure. Radio/heater delete, rubber floor mat, bench seat, 3.91 limited slip. Be prepared to be wowed next week. Never was a big fan of the mid-year boxy 442s until I saw what this guy could do with them (Don't dare tell Don I said that). Now-let's see just how good Xplantdad's archive retrieval system is: The twin to this car (same color + 4 speed, but cutlass 442) was finished last year by Don and sold to a local fellow and has made a few appearances at the Pavillions). Hope to have both of these cars side-by-side next week.

Always enjoy your pictures, thanks for the weekly effort. Also enjoy the point system you use when judging these fine autos....very cool, really cool, cool, neat, nice, really nice, and very nice.

It's the way all car shows should be judged in my opinion.

In 1962 for the bottom-rung Savoys, side view mirrors, and back up lights were options, as was a radio (can't even call this a radio-delete car ). This car had none of these. Surprisingly, for its day, this was a high-optioned Savoy because it did have a heater, seat belts, HD Borg Warner 3 speed, and the Super Stock 413 motor checked off on the order sheet.
