Default Take a look at this reported L/78

I saw this 69 L/78 Camaro on eBay and I was amazed that it
hit $77,000.00 with no VIN, POP, or cowl tag info offered.
No mention of the build date either. Odd thing is that it
has N/66 wheels and a ZL/2 hood. Those two options weren't
available at the same time, were they? Sweet looking car
though.

Who knows, in two or three years documented 69 L78 Camaros could be at the 100K mark the way they are going. Nice documented 69 Z28's are already at 50K - 60K and they made FIVE times as many. Unreal.

You would think after such an extensive restoration, the rear "SS" emblem wouldn't have been mounted upside down.

"NUCH If you are so amazed it hit 77k why were you e mailing us asking for more pictures saying you were a buyer???"

Nuch stated clearly in his opening post that he was amazed that it hit 77K because of a lack of basic info in the ad (i.e. no trim tag info or documentation, etc.) Apparently, Classic Muscle, he emailed you because of the lack of information. Whether he was a buyer or not is irrelevant. You as the seller had missing information in your ad and it appears he was coaxing you for it. What's the big deal? The real question is - why was this basic info missing from your ad? Provide the info (or don't) and move it along.

Classic Muscle,

First of all, I did contact you about the Camaro in question
as I wanted to know if it was the original CX
coded transmission. Also, I asked you to send me more
images showing the carburetor, throttle & kickdown
linkage. All of which you kindly did. BTW, I was
considering purchasing this car. Is that not the normal
course of doing business on eBay or elsewhere?

And yes, I was amazed at the price simply because as I
clearly stated in my initial post, this car showed NO
documentation in the auction. That was clearly the only
thing I could see missing and just a little strange for a
car of this caliber, I thought. Don't take it any other
way. If I had something to say, I would have said it.

Lastly, as to you question about me "copying details", I
don't even know how to respond. I own an original L/78
Hugger Orange 69 Camaro and I can assure you I know a
great deal about these cars. My car lost it's original CX
THM400 many years ago and I recently acquired another one.
I have been doing 10 years of research on my car, so I really
don't need to copy yours. But thanks for asking.

I'd suggest you re-read my initial post as it did not
challenge your integrity, just the lack of documentation.
It was a valid question. One, I might add, that gets
raised by many of us here - often.

It appeared to be a very nice car none the less.

Steve

Thanks for the reply Steve!
Well if you had looked at the pictures we posted the paperwork pics on the auction and as far as any detailed one's no i will not send them to anyone unless they have a deposit on the car as there are too many internet scams today.
I appreciate your interest and i undersatnd you doing research on your car and asking for the kickdown pictures etc.I have no problem with people that need help with their research just let me know thats what you are doing.
Thank and good luck with your car!!!
