I've been enjoying your progress on this car and the hood wouldn't be my choice either...but yes, the customer is always right...just like a woman is!?.
If the customer is flush enough, perhaps he'd consider acquiring and painting a stock hood at paint time too and tucking it aside...it'd surely be more marketable if sale time was ever necessary?.

Couldn't agree more........... in all three areas.

Even a 2" rise would have been better, especially considering it isn't needed at all. Having the stock hood as a backup is a good idea.

Nice work, and a cool car. I've always been a fan of '66 Chevelles since that was the first Big Block I ever drove.

Looks like one of those old Woodward Avenue factory street racers from this angle--kinda' like Chevy's version of the Mopar "Silver Bullet" GTX.

Just install the headlights and then leave it the way it is!

The hood humm. To each his own for sure. Nice job doing the car however Don.
It will stop real good for the next round with the new brakes but it won't matter of you cannot see.
