It's no wonder I can't find or afford any more parts cars if they look that rough yet bring that kind of money.

That car you provided the link to, if you consider that a "barn find" then this DZ car I have is a "Gem". My car could be driveable, but I wouldn't even think about it until I check everything over due to the rareness of this find. To just fire it up and try to drive it, in my books would be irresponsible to what the car actually is.

So with reference to your "being driven hard and put away wet", this is not the case. I do appreciate your input though. It's funny, I always wanted a '60s Camaro. I never thought that my very first Camaro would be a DZ car. I should go buy a lottery ticket.

If it ain't a turd to begin with, polishing it will be a breeze.

Malitude your car is a real Gem. You make the final decision and know what your capabilities are. Good luck with the car and just ignore the negative comments from those that have not even seen the car. To me the enjoyment is bringing them back to life.

Amen Steve, and for what it's worth, I've seen cars far worse than that frost green car brought back to life too...Around here that car would be considered a pretty nice find. Some people just like to make negative comments about the good luck/finds of others I guess...

Thanks guys. You're right. I won't let those kinds of comments bring me down, not with what this car.

I'm sure that there are hundreds of other cars out there just waiting to be discovered. My Brother and I knew about this one for a few years now and kept it to ourselves in hopes that they would sell it to us one day. I guess they finally decided that they weren't going to do anything with it and offered it up for the right $. Soon it will be in my Garage when the weather breaks.

I didn't think that green 69 Camaro was a bad deal under $8,ooo.oo. I've never owned a Camaro or any car newer than a 67, was that realy "badly bought" ?

I have actually been considering getting a 67 (or maybe 68) Camaro and would have thought it was a GREAT deal if it were one of those years. Are the earlier ones bringing much more money even in the same condition?
