You've got to eat a cheese steak everyday if you are only there for the weekend!!

I think I ate more than my share after today. I'll have a picture of the steak I ate for dinner today. It was like a football. It was delicious but that's it for the year!

Doh! I see I am signed in as Sam.. Carlisle was great. Saw a ton of friends. Plenty of people I have never met face to face. Too many to list here. I took many pictures but will post and summarize about all the great cars when I return home. Gotta rest cause Lansdale is tomorrow. Apparently the PA equavalent to Lombard.

Is there a comperable event to Carlisle on the West Coast? I always thought it was pronounced "Carlsie" until corrected recently. How was the weather for the event? It was 103 degrees here in Santa Cruz today and we are right on the ocean.

The weather so far at Carlisle is great. Real nice on Friday with a breeze. Man you guys should have seen ALL the real nice 1967 Z/28's. Had to be 6 or 7 there on Friday. Had a lot of laughs with Big John Karvonen, Steve Shauger, GTO DON, Marlin and BBBenny the "Docs Man." We were also picking on Doug Perry a little bit and his COPO. Man is that a nice car! Getting ready to take Darren out for breakfast which will be scrapple and eggs this morning! Sammy

Default On tour with the Mayor of Souderton

Well here we go.. I'd like to once again thank Sammy and Vera for a fantastic time. Really had the time of my life in PA. They are 2 of the finest people you will ever meet.

Here is a sample of the food part of the tour...

Off the plane and directly to South Philly.

Note: the contents of the cup is Birch Beer. Something that doesn't make it to the midwest.

Was pretty full after so just walked over to Pat's and observed.

Next morning was Carlisle. No scrapple at the grounds as shown here. That was the next day and with a sample of dried creamed beef. But a decent breakfast for fair ground food.

After a long day of walking and looking at cars it was time for another steak. This time from Pudge's. This was the regular! My lense wasn't big enough to photo the large. Delicious!
