Re: Fencl Tufo Chevrolet Hi Performance Vin Numbers
Fencl-Tufo was opened by Dick Fencl and John Tufo in 1967. Dick's brother Ray was the Service Manager and John Tufo was previously the Used Car Manager at Dick Fencl in Oak Park. Brigance and Fencl tried a merger during late 1969, but it didn't work out and Dick Fencl closed his store in 1969. He did not sell it to anybody as Chevrolet Motor Division decided they only wanted one dealership in Oak Park. Dick Fencl also had an interest in Celozzi-Ettleson.

Re: Fencl Tufo Chevrolet Hi Performance Vin Numbers
I have a 1968 Camaro apparently sold new at Dick Fencl Chevrolet in late September or October of 1967. Any insight on when in 1967 the dealership name change took place or if there was an overlap? Thanks!

Fencl Tufo Chevrolet Hi Performance Vin Numbers
'
Cool info Markus and love to see it too but whether posting or not, does this info indicate at least 14 cars shipped to Fencl/Tufo or only 12 and someone's bad math doing a single car shipping cost breakdown on the 1'st batch? I have a few Dick Fencl also Fencl/Tufo old ads saved like the 'Autonauts' Space era ads I'll post here later which may help w/ the changeover timeline but don't believe any Yenko cars are included in any of the F/T ads? Although some Yenko Sportscar Dealer lists have appeared over the years like the 'The Mean Ones' ad, a solid list of all Yenko Dealers would be a big help on a few fronts also may help clear up some truths and murky facts? Also and if possible, knowing dates Yenko Dealers signed up and/or had cars shipped to them could really help w/ clarifying which dealers delivered specific cars too, especially being how NCRS reports all note delivered to Yenko. Awesome stuff! ~ Pete

Actually, a selection of Dealer agreements is in my book "The Yenko Era...continued. Canonsburg and Beyond "

If possible if anyone knows more a more detailed timeline of when Dick Fencl Chevrolet closed and Fencl Tufo started, that would help. My 68 NCRS report says Dick Fencl Chevrolet and it’s from October 1967.
